We aim to establish the Fort Ontario Holocaust Refugee Shelter National Historical Park in New York, preserving and sharing the history of 982 World War II refugees housed there from 1944 to 1946 as a new unit of the National Park System. By doing so, we strive to protect and interpret this significant historical site for the benefit and education of present and future generations.
