We are working to establish a Center of Expertise to improve maritime governance and regional cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, while also enhancing Coast Guard operations through better planning, resource allocation, and partnerships with allied countries. This legislation aims to strengthen U.S. maritime presence and support humanitarian, law enforcement, and security missions in that strategically important region.
