We introduced the SOLAR Act to ensure that USDA funding is targeted towards preserving agricultural land by limiting support for projects that convert farmland into solar energy sites. Our goal is to protect valuable farmland while allowing limited exceptions for projects that support on-farm energy needs and have community backing.
