We are working to establish Haskell Indian Nations University as a federally chartered institution with independent governance, ensuring it can better fulfill the Federal Government’s treaty obligations by providing high-quality, culturally relevant, tuition-free education to Native students. This will also allow the University to manage its resources more effectively and raise private funds to support its mission.
