Edmund Fitzgerald, honoring the 29 crew members who lost their lives and recognizing the vital role Great Lakes shipping has played in shaping our nation's economy and heritage. Through this resolution, we also support ongoing efforts to preserve the memory of this maritime tragedy and promote education about our maritime history.
