house 09/30/2025 - 119th Congress
We are seeking to increase transparency and accountability in military leadership by requiring the Secretary of Defense to inform congressional defense committees whenever a general or flag officer is involuntarily reassigned, separated, or retired, along with the reasons and decision-making process behind it. This will help ensure proper oversight of senior military personnel changes.
