Posts - Bill - HR 5316 Drug Shortage Compounding Patient Access Act of 2025

house 09/11/2025 - 119th Congress

We are working to ensure that patients can access critical compounded medications during shortages by allowing licensed pharmacists and physicians to prepare and distribute these drugs quickly for urgent medical needs while maintaining safety and tracking standards. Our goal is to reduce delays in treatment caused by drug shortages and improve reporting to better manage future supply challenges.

Finally, a bill that puts patients over profits—access to meds shouldn’t be a luxury, it’s a right.

If pharmacists want to compound drugs, sure—but don’t let it become a loophole for skipping FDA rules.
