senate 06/26/2025 - 119th Congress

We are working to create a pilot program that expands access to high-quality early child care for members of the Armed Forces and their families by partnering with local providers to increase capacity, improve workforce development, and support recruitment and retention. This effort aims to address child care shortages at military installations and better meet the needs of military families.

Military families deserve help, but let’s not turn this pilot into another excuse for government overreach in private childcare.

Finally, military families get the support they deserve—because childcare is a right, not a luxury.

Sure, support our soldiers—but childcare should be a family and community matter, not Washington’s playground.

A pilot program for early childcare could ease burdens, but only if it’s efficiently run and flexible enough to adapt.

Fine-tuning childcare for military families sounds reasonable—just don’t let it turn into another bureaucratic black hole.

Supporting families who serve is smart politics; let’s just see if this pilot really delivers before we jump in with both feet.

Expanding access to early childcare for troops is a no-brainer; we back those who back us.

We owe our troops, but federal programs never fix childcare—they just pile on more regulations.
