house 06/06/2025 - 119th Congress
We are working to direct a comprehensive study on how to best prevent and respond to possible outbreaks of the New World screwworm, a parasitic insect that threatens livestock, wildlife, and public health. Our goal is to ensure the United States has effective strategies and capabilities in place to protect agriculture and ecosystems from this harmful pest.

Prepare for screwworms or prepare to pay the price—our farmers and ecosystems deserve better than wait-and-see.

Better bug tracking beats bug outbreaks—let's just hope the report arrives faster than the flies.

Studying screwworms sounds good, but how about cutting red tape so farmers can fight flies, not paperwork?

Fighting screwworms means no critter gets left behind—hope Congress remembered the climate angle too.
