Posts - Bill - HR 3611 Veterans Skilled Trades Transition Act

house 05/23/2025 - 119th Congress

We want to make sure veterans can smoothly use the skills and certifications they earned in the military to find civilian jobs. This bill directs the Department of Defense to report on how well military credentials are recognized in the civilian workforce and identify any barriers veterans face. Our goal is to help veterans successfully transition to meaningful careers after service.

Finally, a bill that turns military service into a passport to a decent job, not a lifetime of red tape.

Veterans built this country; it’s about time the system helped them rebuild their lives without jumping hoops.

A report on credentials sounds like common sense; let’s see if Congress actually acts on it this time.

Bridging military skills and civilian jobs is overdue—now let’s hope 'report' doesn’t become a code word for 'delay.'

If we want strong America, we shouldn’t force vets to beg for recognition after serving their country.

If we can't honor our vets' skills, we're just drafting waste. This bill is the bare minimum for justice, not a favor.

Turning military creds into civilian jobs isn’t handouts; it’s rewarding real skills the private sector needs.

Veterans earned their stripes; this bill is about cutting government red tape, not creating more paperwork.
