We are working on a bill to require the Secretaries of Homeland Security and State to develop a strategy to combat the recruitment efforts of transnational criminal organizations through social media and online platforms. Our goal is to assess the use of these platforms for illicit activities and strengthen cooperation among government agencies to protect individuals, especially youth, from being recruited into criminal enterprises.
