house 02/05/2025 - 119th Congress
We're working to amend the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 with the Spent Fuel Prioritization Act of 2025 to ensure the safe and efficient disposal of high-level radioactive waste from civilian nuclear power reactors. Our goal is to prioritize the acceptance of waste from reactors based on factors like decommissioning status, population density, earthquake risk, and national security concerns to better protect communities and the environment.
