We are introducing the DHS Special Events Program and Support Act to enhance security by authorizing a Homeland Security initiative that assesses threats and vulnerabilities at pre-planned special events. This program will support federal, state, local, Tribal, and territorial officials by providing a risk-based methodology for event ratings and offering security and situational awareness assistance where needed.
