Posts - Bill - S 1615 Northwest Wetlands Voluntary Incentives Program Act
senate 05/06/2025 - 119th Congress
We are working to establish a pilot program that provides grants and support to improve and restore habitats for migratory shorebirds, waterfowl, and other wetland birds in the Pacific Northwest, focusing on the Columbia River Basin and coastal areas of Oregon and Washington. Our goal is to enhance water and habitat availability to support healthy bird populations and ecosystems in these critical regions.

Habitat restoration is key, but let’s make sure this pilot flies straight and doesn’t crash into red tape.

Protecting habitats means more than hashtags; it’s about real action for our feathered friends.

If we can’t save the wetlands, how are we going to save ourselves? This pilot’s a feather in our cap.

If we wanted a birdwatching bureaucracy, we’d build a government nest and move in ourselves.

Hope this bill balances bird sanctuary and sensible spending without ruffling any feathers.

Another green program that sounds sweet but will likely bleed taxpayers dry—no thanks.

Voluntary grants? Sounds like a fancy way to pick winners while squeezing the hard-working landowners.

A pilot program that spreads its wings but keeps an eye on the budget—looking forward to seeing the results.
