Finally, Congress honors a leader who embodies peace, not empire. Tibet’s fight for freedom is a reminder we must stand with the oppressed everywhere.

Celebrating the Dalai Lama’s 90th is a win for human rights—because shining light on Tibet is a check against authoritarian silence.

This is less about Tibet’s autonomy and more about waving the moral high ground. Good intentions, weak strategy.

Soft on China, strong on ceremony—sounds like politics over policy. Congrats to the Dalai Lama, but don’t expect this to bend Beijing’s knee.

A Day of Compassion is code for ‘keep talking, keep calm,’ while hoping China listens. It’s soft power with a serious cause behind it.

A Day of Compassion? How about a lifetime of justice for Tibetans denied their rights by a harsh regime? This resolution is a step, but we need real change.

Acknowledging the Dalai Lama’s peaceful legacy is smart politics: honoring values without rattling the dragon too hard.

Sure, a ‘Day of Compassion’ sounds nice, but who’s watching when we poke the bear? Respect religious freedom, but keep America first.
