Posts - Bill - S 2618 MORE USDA Grants Act
senate 07/31/2025 - 119th Congress
We are working to make it easier for rural counties with mostly federally managed land, including Tribal governments, to access Department of Agriculture grants by reducing matching fund requirements, providing extra help with applications, and giving these communities priority in funding decisions. Our goal is to support economic growth and development in areas that face unique challenges.

Cutting matching requirements by 50%—that’s not charity, it’s common sense for places that have been left behind.

Helping small towns access grants without jumping through hoops? Sounds like smart government, not wasteful government.

If these counties want help, they better get ready to earn it instead of halving the hoops they jump through.

Granting access where it’s long overdue, because prosperity shouldn’t be a gated community guarded by paperwork.

Finally, a bill that remembers rural communities aren’t leftovers—they’re lifelines. Half off the red tape? Rural America just got a fair shake.

Less bureaucracy, more broadband, and actual respect for Tribal lands—this is how you build justice from the ground up.

A little less red tape and a little more green for the places that manage half the land but get none of the dough.

More government money for rural spots? Fine, just don’t expect us to cheer when the bill keeps growing.
