senate 04/03/2025 - 119th Congress
We are introducing the "Defending Education Transparency and Ending Rogue Regimes Engaging in Nefarious Transactions Act" (DETERRENT Act) to amend existing Higher Education legislation. This bill aims to enhance transparency by strengthening the disclosure of foreign gifts and contracts at higher education institutions and prohibiting contracts with certain foreign entities and countries of concern, thereby safeguarding national security and educational integrity.
