Posts - Bill - HR 3414 Joshua Tree National Park Expansion Act

house 05/14/2025 - 119th Congress

We are working to expand Joshua Tree National Park by adding over 20,000 acres to protect more of its unique desert landscape, and we’re also redesignating the Cottonwood Visitor Center as the Dianne Feinstein Visitor Center to honor her legacy. This bill supports conservation and enhances visitor experience in the park.

Naming a visitor center after a political figure? Sounds like a waste of taxpayer dollars masquerading as tribute.

Expanding boundaries is great—just make sure Bureau of Land Management doesn’t get cut out of the loop entirely.

Expanding the park and honoring Feinstein? Finally, a legislation that respects environment and legacy together.

Great, more government-managed land to babysit—because federal control always means efficiency, right?

A bigger park sounds nice, but let’s keep an eye on how land swaps actually play out.

Turning more land into parks? How about turning some greenback sense into this legislature instead?
