senate 07/16/2025 - 119th Congress
We are working to amend the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to allow a surcharge on entrance fees for international visitors to National Parks. This is intended to generate additional funds to maintain and improve park services while keeping these treasured sites accessible to visitors from around the world.

If you want to enjoy our parks, chip in—this surcharge keeps the beauty pristine without hiking taxes on locals.

If we want thriving parks, how about taxing corporations instead of visitors who just want to enjoy our shared heritage?

Why nickel-and-dime international visitors when we should be investing in parks for everyone? Taxing tourists won’t save our national treasures, but funding climate action just might.
