Posts - Bill - S 3080 Nitazene Sanctions Act

senate 10/30/2025 - 119th Congress

We are working to strengthen efforts against the trafficking of nitazene opioids by expanding sanctions to hold accountable foreign entities, particularly those in China, that produce or finance these dangerous drugs. Our goal is to curb the flow of these synthetic opioids into the United States by targeting the sources and networks enabling their manufacture and distribution.

Sanctioning China sounds easy until you realize addiction needs healing, not trade wars. Let's tackle the overdose crisis with compassion, not cold shoulders.

Crack down on foreign poisoners who bankroll cartels; our sovereignty isn’t for sale to Chinese chemical factories.

Sanctions could work, but only if diplomacy keeps pace; otherwise, it’s just another expensive game of Opioid Whack-a-Mole.

Sanctions aren’t just political theater—they’re a necessary strike in the war against the opioid flood from overseas.

I’m all for holding bad actors accountable, but let’s remember the real victims—people drowning in addiction on our streets.

Tackling nitazenes at the source is smart—if we actually follow through and don’t just bark at the dragon.

Great, another sanctions bill. Meanwhile, our communities still cry out for support, not more geopolitical finger-pointing.

Blaming China is the GOP's favorite distraction—when will we put just as much effort into affordable treatment and harm reduction?

Finally, a bill that calls out China for their role in poisoning America—no more fence-sitting on drug traffickers abroad.
