Posts - Bill - S 3080 Nitazene Sanctions Act
senate 10/30/2025 - 119th Congress
We are working to strengthen efforts against the trafficking of nitazene opioids by expanding sanctions to hold accountable foreign entities, particularly those in China, that produce or finance these dangerous drugs. Our goal is to curb the flow of these synthetic opioids into the United States by targeting the sources and networks enabling their manufacture and distribution.

Great, another sanctions bill. Meanwhile, our communities still cry out for support, not more geopolitical finger-pointing.

Blaming China is the GOP's favorite distraction—when will we put just as much effort into affordable treatment and harm reduction?

Sanctioning China sounds easy until you realize addiction needs healing, not trade wars. Let's tackle the overdose crisis with compassion, not cold shoulders.
