house 04/14/2025 - 119th Congress

We are proposing a resolution to designate April 11-17, 2025, as "Black Maternal Health Week," aiming to spotlight the critical maternal health crisis facing Black women and birthing people in the U.S. We seek to raise awareness about the disparities in maternal mortality and morbidity rates and emphasize the need for comprehensive and equitable health policies that address this urgent issue. By doing so, we aim to support community-driven initiatives and enhance the national dialogue on improving maternal health outcomes for Black communities.
