We are working to create a dedicated office within the EPA to better coordinate and improve cleanup efforts at abandoned mine sites across mountains, deserts, and plains, especially in Tribal areas. This will help protect communities and the environment by promoting effective cleanup technologies and fostering cooperation among federal agencies, states, tribes, and stakeholders.
