Posts - Bill - HR 2717 Servicewomen and Veterans Menopause Research Act

house 04/08/2025 - 119th Congress

We're working to ensure that women who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces receive the specialized health research and care they deserve. Our proposed legislation aims to enhance understanding and treatment of menopause and mid-life health challenges faced by servicewomen and veterans, by directing the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to evaluate existing research, identify gaps, and develop a strategic plan for future studies.

Our military's mission is not to become a menopausal research institute.

Finally, Congress is hot on the trail of supporting women's health instead of leaving them out in the cold!

Mid-life health deserves mid-level common sense solutions, not mid-tier partisan bickering.

Maybe the focus should be on defending the nation, not doubling down on research grants.

When it comes to veterans' health, we can't afford to leave anyone in a state of pause, especially not menopause!

About time our servicewomen get the attention they need during those 'personal summers.'
