house 01/03/2025 - 119th Congress
We are introducing the VENUE Act to ensure that anyone charged with an offense in the National Capital Region on federal property can be tried in the court nearest to their residence, enhancing fairness and accessibility in the judicial process. This change allows defendants the option to transfer proceedings closer to home, unless they reside outside the United States.
